Libyan Plane Crash Leaves One Survivor

Only One Survivor Of Libyan Plane Crash

The Libyan plane crash happened near Tripoli, from which only one survived the fateful flight from Johannesburg. 104 passengers were aboard the Airbus A330 200. It isn’t known what the cause was, but fog was reported within the vicinity of the runway. Some instant cash can be put into getting an inquiry together, though foul play is not suspected at this time.

Libyan plane crash just outside regular stop

The Libyan plane crash happened at an international airport in Tripoli. The stop was a routine one, on a route from Johannesburg, South Africa, to London. It was par for the course, with a regular stop and a small layover before taking off again. At least one passenger was a British subject. Only one survived, of the 93 passengers and 11 crew.

One Dutch child survived

The only survivor thus far discovered, as outlined by the Christian Science Monitor, was an 8-year-old Dutch boy. Afriyiqah Airlines Flight 771 was an Airbus A330 200, a mid size liner comparable to a Boeing 767. It’s unknown where all the passengers were from or who they were.

The plane not to blame

The Airbus A330 200 is a solid, reliable aircraft though there are crashes involving them. The plane crashed just short of the runway and disintegrated. There are four fatal incidents involving this model of plane, but only 3 were crashes that resulted in catastrophic fatalities, according to the Aviation Safety Network. Another fatality that occurred involving an Airbus A330 was a hijacker who jumped out of a re-pressurized plane. (Hijackers aren’t known for their mental acuity.) Libyan authorities will investigate.
